My Approach
I am skilled at working within and across several therapeutic models some of which include, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Person Centred Therapy and Integrative Psychotherapy. I do not apply these models in a dogmatic manner but rather tailor my way of working based on individual need, presenting complaint and the aims of the therapy.
At the heart of my approach is the provision of a warm, caring and empathic stance which is embedded in the therapeutic relationship. This relationship will aim to provide a safe and reflective space for working through troubling issues.
My practice and the approaches I use have a good evidence base for their efficacy. I offer both long term and short term therapy depending on the needs of the individual and the evidence base.
